APRTP Forum Highlights RWA Tokenization Progress in Asia-Pacific
Asia-Pacific RWA Tokenization Platform (APRTP) held its 2024 Biannual Forum in Singapore on June 26th. Representatives from Qatar National Bank (QNB), China Merchants Bank International (CMBI), and companies like Amber Group, Bybit, and Fireblocks attended.
QNB Singapore Branch CEO Silas Lee delivered the keynote speech, emphasizing blockchain and tokenization as key initiatives for Qatar’s FinTech strategy. Lee announced QNB’s preparation of the QNB-DMZ Fund, utilizing tokenization technology.
DMZ Finance Chairperson Nathan Ma stated that 2024 marks the integration of RWA and DeFi, citing Blackrock’s BUIDL tokenized fund and ONDO’s DEX cooperation as examples. Ma highlighted DMZ’s role as a Web3 technology partner for financial institutions in the Asia-Pacific region.

Attendees agreed on RWA tokens’ potential in DeFi scenarios like DEX, CEX, lending, and stablecoin underlying. The forum concluded with consensus that RWA’s real application moment is approaching.
